Dynamic mobile app development

Pulsefit — a cross-platform fitness app with live workout tracking, offline mode and friend challenges, rated 4.8 stars across both stores.

Pulsefit fitness app dashboard during development

Overview

A boutique gym chain wanted an app that kept members training between visits. We designed Pulsefit around one screen that matters mid-workout — big readable stats, one-tap set logging — with everything else a thumb away.

Challenge

Gym basements kill connectivity, so the app had to record everything offline and sync later without duplicates. Battery drain from GPS tracking was the second enemy, solved with adaptive sampling.

Approach

We built a clickable prototype and ran it through twelve real gym sessions before committing to architecture. One shared codebase ships to iOS and Android, with native modules only where sensors demand it.

Deliverables

  • iOS and Android apps from one codebase
  • Offline-first workout engine with sync
  • Trainer dashboard and class scheduling
  • Store listings, preview video and launch plan

Outcome

Member check-ins rose by a third in the launch quarter, the app holds a 4.8-star average across 2,000+ reviews, and crash-free sessions sit above 99.5%. Planning an app of your own? Start with our app development service.
